Introduction
The Market Institution is a company that teaches its students how to trade in the financial markets. Our task was to create an online marketplace which lets students purchase lessons from the various instructors of the website.
Challenges
Combining both AWS and Stripe to facilitate the needs of the platform, which includes:
- Using an unconventional database system: DynamoDB with single table design
- Custom GraphQL resolvers as an API
- Creating a live streaming platform using Amazon Interactive Video Service (IVS)
- Using custom SSO with AWS Cognito
- Setting up Stripe as a payment gateway for course purchases and custom course subscriptions
- Smart querying with OpenSearch
- Mp4 conversion to HLS with MediaConvert
- Caching and load balancing
Deliverables
An online market which lets users sign up and purchase for courses as well as an instructors dashboard.
